MEET DAVID
David Jones, a seasoned real estate broker and businessman, is running for Governor of Maine with a mission to Rebuild Maine’s Future and elevate the standard of living for all Mainers.
With a career rooted in hard work, David began working at age 13, mastering the drywall trade by 17. After moving to Florida, he built a successful construction company, employing up to 1,100 workers on major projects like Gleneagles Country Club, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and The Gardens Mall. At 26, he earned a Class A General Contractor’s license, enabling him to tackle large-scale developments. After the 1989 Florida market crash, David pivoted, later restoring hurricane-damaged properties and moving to Maine in 1997.
In Maine, David helped revitalize Bingham’s downtown through a combination of private funds and a federal redevelopment grant. David and his wife Nancy settled in Falmouth, where he has lived for 25 years. He now owns FO Bailey, Maine’s oldest continuously running company, founded in 1819. As a broker, he has handled deals from starter homes to major commercial properties, always prioritizing excellence—a principle he pledges to bring to the Blaine House.
A steadfast supporter of President Trump since 2015, David founded the Making Maine Great Again PAC and served as a 2024 RNC National Delegate and Platform Committee member. Married to Nancy for 40 years, David has six children, including one adopted from Costa Rica, and eight grandchildren. In his free time, he cherishes family time, playing the guitar, and a nice scotch.
Rebuild Maine's Future
The state of Maine’s future is at a tipping point. If we continue our current trajectory, the Maine we all know and love will soon be left behind. Our schools are failing, and our hospitals are closing. Our small businesses cannot bear the weight of any more taxes. We must do something different.
As governor, I will prioritize cutting spending, reducing regulations, and unleashing Maine’s economic potential. Maine’s budget can no longer be balanced on the backs of working Mainers. We can cut taxes by auditing Augusta and reforming welfare. We can turn our schools around by prioritizing the basics- reading, writing, and arithmetic. Together, we can raise the standard of living in our state while still ensuring the government is there for the folks who need it the most.
